any pre-reqs or blockers on this?

So I will assume you are a VCP5-DCV holder and you want to gain VCAP5-DCD or VCAP5-DCA - all within data centre virtualisation (as opposed to cloud or desktop)
If I assume correctly, the answer is definitely "yes"
Yes, you are good to go. Any VCP 5.x is valid as a prereq for VCAP-DCA (any 5.x version).
