VM datastore policies

Is there a setting in vSphere 5 to force a vm to stay on a local datastore even when its migrated to another host. To clarify- vm1 is on a local datastore on host1, vm1 is migrated to host2 and needs to be placed on host2's local datastore by default. I am understand you can do a vMotion like this via the web client on vSphere 5.1. I am was not aware this was a possibility in vSphere 5. I know we can use storage profiles, but you need shared storage for this. Thanks.

You do not need shared storage for storage profiles.  Tag each local disk "Local" and add a storage profile "Local"
