VCAP5-DCA exam issue

Hi,

I had appeared for VDCA510 exam yesterday in India. During the exam i faced some technical issues so I had informed test center administrator. He called VSS support from PearsonVUE, who took remote access of my LAB and asked the Test center Administrator to Stop my exam and I could not complete the exam.

Now I am curies as I did not got any mail from PearsonVUE or VMware confirming the issue with LAB. Do I need to contact VMware Support to check the status or they take some time to analyze the issue?

Any guidance is much appreciated !

Hi

The testing center should have a case number around the problem and you can most likely contact VMware education, give them your booking reference number and then find out how you can reschedule

I had contacted PersonVUE today and gave the incident number which was created during the exam. After some explanation they have rescheduled the exam

Was the same also for me with the VCAP4-DCA... It could happen and for admin exam you have a VUE part but also a VMware part.

Anyway... retake the exam for free isn't so bad

Today I was about to register for VCAP5-DCA but before completing registration process I called to testing center to get some information about the center location, route..etc.

after discussion with testing center, am confused whether to register for exam or not?

As per testing center VCAP5-DCA exam has network issue across India and specifically in his center there are many issues related to local desktop/servers which they are planning to upgrade to minimize issues during exam.

After that I called to Pearson VUE and ask for confirmation whether I can schedule exam on that center when testing center is saying there are issues happening during exam.

I got awesome answer from Pearson, if I wish I can register or leave it.

Unfortunately there is only one testing center in Pune where I can schedule this exam.

If you ever have ANY issue testing, don't leave without a VSS incident number.

Sat for VDCA510 today at Pune, India. Still faced issue with local system. It got hung when around 15 mins left for 4-5 mins. I couldn't do anything but the timer was on .

Keep an eye on timer its very fast :smileymischief: I could only attempt 22 question. hope i did enough to clear the exam.

Now waiting for result day.....:smileyconfused:

if you experience latency,  be sure to have the test administrator call VSS to add time.  Please let me know how smoothly (hopefully)  the exam runs.

Hi Pankaj,

Congratulations on clearing the exam. Also I would require help on knowing the following information:

1> How many days does it take to receive the confirmation once you have appeared for the exam. I am aware it is 15 days but in some cases it has been more than this time period.

2> What are the study resources that you have used for preparing for the certification exam? particularly which vCAT documentation i.e. ver 2 or ver 3 from exam preparation point of view.

Hi Nitin,

To answer your first, i gave exam on 15th June and i Got result today.. so 10 days in my case

Second, there are lot of great guides available and i use most of them. And more important all guides from VMware.

You  need to practice the entire blueprint at least for couple of times to get comfortable with it. In exam time is very crucial so try to gain expertise on completing task in multiple ways.
