VCAP5-DCA and DCD Resources

Hi

I'm looking to continue to build my VCAP5-DCA and DCD Study resources page( http://thesaffageek.co.uk/vcap5-dca-dcd/ ), so that everyone can find out the best resources and links to help them prepare for the exams. If you know of any good resources that i'm missing from my list (obviously growing now that the DCD beta is out) please do tell me and i'll get it added if it's good.

Thanks

Gregg

Ok so what's the difference between the VCAP4 and VCAP5 ?

Can I take the exam of VCAP5 with VCAP4 training ?

Well the main difference is VCAP5 will be based on vSphere 5. The only pre-requisite for the VCAP5 exams is having passed the VCP5

Thanks for the quick reply so there is no quick path from VCP4 into VCAP5 and vice versa ?

You will need the VCP 5 to be a VCAP 5 -

Personally i dont see a point in doing the VCAP4 exams if you haven't started preparing yet. Start studying with all the VCAP4 resources out there as a large portion of the technologies covered will be the same in the VCAP5.

I agree with Gregg, get your VCP5 then start preparing for VCAP5-DCA...

If you have your VCP4 then you have until the end of this month to pass the VCP5 before you need to do the Whats New course as a pre-requisite. Also there are no dumps for the VCP5 before you ask

Gregg/Anyone,

Do you know when is the VCAP5-DCA official blueprints will be release?  I am preparing for VCAP4-DCA but may postpone for v.5 instead, but your blog is good starting points for collaborative resources, looking forward to see more useful documentations.

If you know where to download the blueprint for v.5 would be great thanks in advance!  Anyone has any good guess as how long to wait for release date?

DCD5 is currently in beta, the final release of that exam and the final blueprint should happen in the next 6-8 weeks.

DCA5 has not even entered beta yet. I would imagine that will only happen once DCD5 is released, so you might have to wait 12-16 weeks I suppose.

If you're ready to take DCA4 in the next month I'd consider taking it anyway, that's what I'd do.

Scott.

Hey Gregg,

My buddy and I are writing about the VCAP5 objectives. Hope you find it helpful and will share it on your site. We are focused on the DCA now: http://thefoglite.com/vcap-dca5-objective/
