VCAP5-CID vCAT version

Hi Gregg,

Thanks for your reply; I erroneously put up my question related to VCAP-CID over here. I have gone over your link at http://thesaffageek.co.uk/vsphere-5-x-cloud-study-resources/vcap5-cia-and-cid/ more or less I am following the list given there for VCAP-CID, like following the blue print, brownbag sessions and a subscription for train signal. However my query was related to vCAT i.e. which version should I be referring to more from a certification point of view?

regards,

Nitin

Hi,

Fair enough =0) The best version and the one I used for my VCP5-IaaS and will be using for my CID is the latest version v3.1 as the CID is based on vCloud 5,1 unlike the IaaS. Glad my resources are helpful and I'm hoping to add to them now that I can start focusing on the vCloud VCAP exams.

Hi Gregg,

Will you be covering VCAP5-CID Objective 1 and 2 as when i sat the exam the diagram conceptial questions were very confusing and i cannot find much in the way of learning resources which teach how to breakdown the designs in the same manor as vmware.

Great effort on the other items though.

Thanks

Hi,

Yep I'm planning on covering the whole blueprint. I just need people to present them Smiley Happy For conceptual logical physical I'm currently using my VCAP5-DCD resources as they are directly applicable to the VCAP-CID. Check out Scott Lowe's design course from trainsignal as he defines them really well in there.

On TrainSignal you can find a really good course from Whal.

vCAT it's also useful, but not enough.

Note also that the CID exam has also some practical question related more to the CIA exam.
