VCAP certification

Hello,

Is it possible to pass VCP/VCAP 2022 with VCP/DCP 2020 certification? or do I need to upgrade my DCP certification?

1. You posted this in the {code} area for SDKs, I've reported your thread so a moderator should move it to the VCAP area.

2. You don't state which VCP you want to do, I'm assuming it's VCP-DCV 2022 and that you already have VCP-DCV 2020.

3. You don't state which VCAP you want to do, I'm going to assume it's VCAP-DCV Deploy 2022.

So, to answer your questions based on my assumptions:

To meet the requirements for VCP-DCV 2022 you only have to pass the Professional vSphere 7.x exam - look at the "VCP-DCV 2019 or Newer" path on this page: https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vcp-dcv.html

To meet the requirements for VCAP-DCV Deploy 2022 you must first have either the VCP-DCV 2022 or VCP-DCV 2021 (see above) and then pass the Advanced Deploy vSphere 7.x exam - look at the "no VCAP certifications" path on this page: https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vcap-dcv-deploy.html
