Tough one

I guess I'm the latest one to join the skilled group that has passed the DCD exem, feeling pretty good right now 😃

Time really is your enemy on this one. I did not save the design questions for last, instead I just kept going of course keeping a close eye on the timer. When I got past the last question I had about 8 minutes left, barely giving me time to go back and have another look at a few questions that I wasnt sure about.

My heart was really beating hard for a few seconds as I pressed the End test button before I saw the Congratulations screen.

It is a tough test, but I have to agree with some of the other posts in here, the blueprint really covers what you need to know. I can't say that I read every page of every .pdf referenced but I did at a minimum browse through them, reading anything that I felt unfamiliar with.

I did attend the design course back in the 4.0 days but I still felt that the design methodology part was very helpful. On top of that I also read two books, VMware vsphere 4.1 HA and DRS technical deepdive and VMware vsphere design 4.1. I can really recommend the HA and DRS book, read it and understand it, it will give you required knowledge on clustering.

Finally, thanks to everyone here for providing their inputs on the test and good luck to anyone who is about ta take the test

Best regards

Erik

Thanks guys!

Hehe, we will see about the VCDX, I still have the DCA left before and I can't decide if I should do it now or wait until the DCA 5.0 is out. Any thoughts on that?
