I passed 3V0-622 back in December and have been kicking back and relaxing since then. I figured it is time to start focusing up for 3V0-624 now. My goal is to take the test by the end of June.
Below is the list of resources I've identified so far, most of which I took from the vhersey.com and davidstamen.com test reviews.
There doesn't seem to be many reviews out there for this test but from what little sample size that does exist, it sounds like this test has a much higher pass rate than 3V0-622. Both vhersey and davidstamen passed on their first attempt as did Scott Bowe on the Google+ forum. Kevin Patterson on Google+ is the only case of someone failing and even he said he scored 276 despite not even studying for it.
Hoping that I'm not the only one studying for this and others can start posting their resources and maybe even their experiences on taking the test. BTW, I posted all of my notes that I took from 3V0-622 in a previous post on this board for anyone who wants them. I'm guessing that those notes will be quite relevant to this test as well.

Very helpful information, Krenztor.
One question, since you already had passed 3V0-622, you next exam should be 3V0-623 to get VCIX6-DCV, what's the point for you to prepare 3V0-624?
I already passed the 5.5 Deploy exam and have my VCIX6. To upgrade to VCIX6.5 I only need to pass the Design or Deploy (not yet available). I'd actually rather do the Deploy but since it isn't out yet and I'm probably already well prepared to pass the Design, I'm just going for that. Before you ask why I don't just wait for the Deploy 6.5, it is because I have certifications I need to pass later this year and early next year which means I either go after 6.5 now or I need to wait a full year and I really don't see that point in waiting.
Thanks again for the reply, Krenztor, it's well explained.
thk!!!!!
Hi Krenztor.
Unfortunately, I did not pass in 3v0-624 two months ago, but I got very close (260/300). My failed topics was:
* Gather and analyse business business requirements
* Gather and analyse application requirements
* Build availability requirements into a vSphere 6.x Logical Design
* Build Performance Requirements into a vSphere 6.x Logical Design
* Build Security Requirements into a vSphere 6.x Logical Design
I don’t have experience designing VMware projects, and I felt I miss this knowledge for this exam. Nevertheless, I’d like to try again (next week), and my question is: what I need to read and study to enforce my skills in these topics? The three last topics I think I forgot some technical details, so I’ll review the technical docs. My concern is the two first topics. I'm using Design Workshop 6.5 and Hersey Cartwright books.
Could you help me?
Kind Regards.
Valter Junior
I am sitting for this exam next week. I am curious if anyone has sat for it recently? Does it now cover up to vSphere 6.7?
