General VCAP5-DCA Exam Question

Hi,

I was just wondering how the exam questions maybe asked and scored for the VCAP5-DCA.

For instance;

Lets say there is a question in the exam that says configure fault tolarance.

Will the question be more presise such as configure FT for machine X&Y including setting up the network for FT Logging using NICS a and b?

If the above was the case would it also specify the MTU or would you be expexted to know the best practice would be to set it to 9000?

AS per Exam NDA, We cannot disclouse about any specific question. Whatever tasks or configuration it will be. It may be half of the setting is configured already in lab setup or you may be you have to configure everything starting from network and all preprequsite and then complete your taks and also you may have to troubleshoot the misconfigurations. It will always not only a direct configuration. So ready for everything.. Practise ...Practise ..Practise..in the Lab ....

Usually is quite clear what you have to do.

But note that you can do in several way (GUI, CLI, ...) and seems that doesn't matter how you do the task, but which kind of result you can reach.

You are corect..but there are some cases or certian tasks which can only  be performed via powercli or CLi commands...Be prepare for everything...

I have setup my home lab and have created 300+ lab tasks (and still growing) to complete using the GUI, vMA, PowerCLI, SSH and have tried to complete the 300 tasks in each environment where possible, of course not all tasks can be completed in all and some can only be completed at the command line such as esxcli commands.

I understand that there is an NDA and wouldnt dream of asking anyone to break it. Just after the format of how questions are ask. To be honest i guess it dosent really matter as you should know how to answer the questions based on how they are asked. Just trying to put my mind at ease i guess. Anyway roll on June and the exam.

Correct... in this cases you have only one (or a couple) of options.

But around 80% of the tasks could be done in all the way.

When I took the exam was really independed on which way you used (of course, when there were multiple way to solve a task).

You will not able to find Question or Scenarios for this EXAM due to NDA with Vmware, Blue print will give you an overview of the Exam. If you are an Administrator, what are problem you will in the Virtual Environment. Ask your self... For Eg: if you wants to install ISCSI what are all the Requirement?..Like This Create a Scenarios.. Practice well on Each objectives
