DCD exam questions

Hello

Just finished my first attempt at my DCD and unfortantly just missed it due to timing out on a design question and 10 other questions.

With that said,  here are my questions if they can't be awnsered because of the NDA just delete this thred:

1.) When dragging two physical switches onto the design area is it assumed the switches are linked/stack or do you need to link them to get full points to reduce single point of failure

2.). When dragging a nic into the design field it isn't listed if it's single, duel, or quad so can you drag 4 and make it a quad?

Hello,

To answer your first question, in a design item, there are no pre-existing connections, so if you felt that two switches need to be connected for an item, you would need to connect them.  For your second question, if we provided multiple NIC types (like dual or quad) for an item, we would label them as such. If not, they would be single, and if you needed multiple ports for your design you would need to add multiple adapters.

quick follow up, similar topic. Are multiple vss vds required or can we design as we  prefer?

As you prefer, as long as it meets the specifications of the item.

In regards to the NICs the only thing I saw listed was vmnic?  I guess I will have to take a closer look next time though.
