Course requirment.

In VACP, there is no course requirement.  Just wonder, in general for people sitting for the DACP exam (DCA or DCD) do they still take the recommanded class?

Or in other words, is the class helpful to passing the test?  They are pretty expensive.

Thanks for the information and have a nice weekend,

I did not take any of the recommended courses for the VCAP4-DCA.

I studied the following and used a home lab: http://www.seancrookston.com/vcap-dca/

I've delivered all the recommended courses for DCD and DCA, and I am a DCA myself. There is no doubt that the Design Workshop helps with DCD, and the Troubleshooting and Performance courses definitely help with DCA.

IMHO for the DCA you do not need any courses, but a lot of lab practices on all the features covered by the blueprint.

For the DCD you need to read a lot of documentations (the blueprint has links on most of them). The Design course could help, but not so much (is more useful for the VCDX application, IMHO) and in any case is not enough.

Hi

If you can get yourself on the courses i would recommend it but you can pass the exams without doing them. You can purchase the DCA courses via trainsignal videos. As stated already i would recommend the performance and troubleshooting ones for the DCA.

Good luck
