I am presently studying for my VCAP5-DCA, when studying I came across some fantastic resources namely a technical break down of the blueprint written by Jason Langer which gives technical detail against each objective competency. The other angle people have taken is to try and document their understanding of a whole objective area but not linked to sub-items within the objective, a great written example is thefoglite.com and a great video example Nick Marshalls vBrownbag series.
While I liked these I did find some parts missing, and while I loved the vBrownbag video as the objectives are so large, I found it hard to tie in with my study and test when going through a area in detail. I ended up taking a lot of notes, and in the end thought it maybe useful to attempt my own blueprint breakdown and give it back to the community. This is my first long series of technical blog and I am still learning to some of the early objectives I will enhance as I work back through when I've got at least something for every objective area.
Its been fun to do as learning something to the point you can try and explain to someone else is I think a good indicator of understanding so its been valuable to me as a learning aid too.
