Where to download update packages for Update Manager?

My VI setup is on a isolated network (ie, no internet connection).

The update manager is installed on the same machine as my VC.

Only esx host patches are required.

I understand that the recommened solution is to:

1. install Update Manager Download Service on a machine with internet connection

2. download the required patches

3. export the patches

4. transfer the patches (using portable storage)

5. import the patches to the Update Manager

6. proceed with patching ESX.

I am wondering if there is anywhere on the net where i can just download the patches package and skip step 1-4.

Thanks in advance for any advice. 😃

No, there is no such location. Patches are located on the VMware patchstore. There are installation files, as well as metadata files, which should be downloaded from the patchstore. In your case, you should use UMDS. It is easy to install and use.
