I am new to the VMWare world and we are slowly getting our environment up and running. I was wondering if the drivers found on the +*VMware ESX/ESXi 4.0 Driver CD for Broadcom NetXtreme II Ethernet Network Controllers* +could possibly be downloaded via Update Manager. We configured Update Manager today and did a pull and this update did not come thru. Or does it need to be run from the CD we created.
thanks for the help
Ryan
Figured out how to do it.
How you did it. Someone may need to do this as well. These discussions are more about sharing knowledge...
Had to do it with the CD. Supposedly you can use an HP plug in for Vsphere to do it (Insight Manager) but I have not tried it.
This cannot be installed with Update Manager but you can put the updated files on a volume somewhere and either use ESXUPDATE or PowerCLI to
install them.
Have a look here for PowerCLI.
