VM's reboot after update 7.0.3 21313628 VMware given patch 20036589. but Can not take Risk.

VMware 7.0.3 20036589 old version to maintenance mode after update a patch 7.0.3 21313628   To Exit maintenance mode. DRS is Enable. host is in Maintenance mode . without Removing host from a Cluster is there any test case where i can check VM's not reboot any suggestions?

Hi,

You can create the Affinity rule at the Cluster level wherein none of the VMs will migrate to the ESXi host you are telling about. Remove the host from the maintenance mode. Leave one test VM out of the Affinity rule and then migrate it to that patched ESXi host and check if it's rebooting or not. Once you are satisfied with your testing you can delete/disable the Affinity rule and DRS will load balance the VMs load across the ESXi host in the Cluster
