Update Manager and vCSA Problem

I read that it was possible to connect Update Manager to vCSA. When I try to connect to the vCenter server it gives the following error:

The vCenter Server is incompatible with the VMware vSphere Update Manager you are installing. Please select a compatible vCenter Server.

Is this a known issue?

So are my only options to do offline updates manually? I want to upgrade our vSphere to 5.0 update 1. Is vCSA still not recommended over vCenter on a windows machine? We really don't have many physical windows machines.

Hi,

it is indeed compatible, but I suspect the latest Update Manager package (5.0.0 build 639890) is too new compared to the vCSA release (5.0.0.3324 build 472350). At least that is the problem I'm experiencing right now.

Can you confirm the releases you are using?
