yes..

DB instance could be one..(one sql server instance)

but each VUM install needs its own database (means creating separate database)

same goese with Vcenter servers

you need separate database for each vcenter instance.

To have this you must deploy the UM Download Services on another system.

This will download the updates on a single point, than you can import them on your VUM Servers.
