Scan For Updates Completes...Remediate Fails

Hi guys,

I am bit lost with this one. I have 3 node cluster of ESX hosts, just updates 2 of them from 3.5 Update 3 to Update 4 with latest patches and they wok fine.

Last ESX host to do and the remediation fails, it says in the Event part that it failed to remediate because it failed to scan the host YET if I scan first before I remediate the scan is completed successfully.

Where I can check what is wrong with my last ESX host? What logs would I need to check? I do not understamd why it scans fine but fails to remediate and reports that it failed to remediate because it failed to scan!

Rebooted ESX Host and VC and tried again and it failed.

I read that you are best sometimes to run the download, then scan then remediate.

I did that and it is now working, go figure!

you did just what I was going to suggest, run your download manager task again.
