Could not stage patches using update manager on ESXi 3.5.0

Hi,

I am using Vcenter server 4 , ESXi3.5.0 110271

I am staging the patches to the esxi server using update manager.but i am getting the error

"VMware vCenter Update Manager had an unknown failure. Check Tasks and Events tab and logs for more details."

but i can successfully scan and download the patches. i need to stage them for remediation.

can some one help please. i have 2 host connected to the VC and i am getting the same error for both the host

Hi,

VUM does not support staging on 3.5 hosts. You can stage only on 4.0. See VUM Admin guide.
