Hi, I'd like to know how to change the admin account that gets used for VC connection. I'd like to change this to a service account which password will not expire.
The creadential for the installation process are only for the installation itself.
Check the creantial on each VMware service and you will notice that is SYSTEM.
So you can change user login and password simple in Windows.

Authentication is done by the OS.
So just change password or policy into user management or AD in Windows.
By default all user members of Local Administrators group are able to connect to VC as "administrator".

I want to change the account and password not just the policy.
I used my own account when installing VUM (see the screenshot) but my password will expire soon. I want to be able to change it to a service account so VUM can keep talking to VC. I assume this password is required because it is possible to install VUM on a separate computer than the VC server so it needs to somehow authenticate over the network. I happened to install VUM on my VC server but assume VUM is quite separate from VC and needs to 'login' whenever it does something.
