Cannot set up linked mode

Had to do re-installs of vcenter at our two locations. Apparently used different passwords for admin@System-Domain. Now I can't set up linked-mode because of that. Is there any way around that?

Hello,

After analyzing the logs found the problem. This issue occurs when network-based firewalls are not configured to allow Remote Procedure Calls (RPC) for replication.

Please refer to the below KB article which will help you to resolve the issue.

No firewalls between them. And I made sure all firewalls on the local machines were off. Still didn't work. Again, the reason stated was that "remote VC's {mavine name} SSO domain ID is does not match"

From your log I found the entry: Problem: Remote VC's vvc02tpco.tpco.loc SSO domain ID is does not match.

Did you tried procedures from this KB article: VMware vCenter Server 5.1/5.5 Linked mode setup fails with the error: SSO Domain ID does not match (...
