Can not deploy upgrade agent on host

I am getting below error when I upgrade my esx host from 3.5 to 4U1 baseline created

Only one host or all hosts have problem? did you check disk space on the host? non-default partitioning?

The issue was with one particular host in the cluster. After we checked it was found in the hostd.log that the "/etc/vmware/config" file was corrupt! And indeed the file was corrupt and had to be manually edited to resolve the issue. One of the entries was overlapped!!
