Broadcom NIC "blew" after patching?

Does anyone has any experience patching ESX 3.5 update 2 to update patching levels without using Update 3 and after reboot having Broadcom NICs dissapear even from the BIOS (hardware) point of view? Physical NICs and vmnics were ok right after patching, then they become, disabled, fried or something.. Patching was done via Upgrade Manager in Virtual Center 2.5.

Any comments or experiences will be appreciated! :smileycool:

Hello,

I have had your problem, and it required a firmware update to the broadcom to fix. So go to your hardware vendor and use their Firmware and BIOS update CDROM to update your Firmware and BIOS. HP, IBM, and Dell all have these bootable cd/dvdroms.
