Best practice on applying patches

Normally used to update standalone ESX's with esxcli and cummulative patches from VMware.

What is best practice when using Update manager? vCenter is 6.5.a and hosts are running ESXi 6.5.0 Build 4887370

If I want these to be patched to latest stable release (now and in the future) what will be the best approach on configuring the repository and applying baselines?

Regards, Lars.

The built in baselines in VUM will provide you with the latest patches officially release for production use by VMware.

Personally I wait a bit after patches come out (usually for major release builds) in case there are bugs or issues. VMware is quick to fix them.
