I upgraded vcenter and my esxi hosts to 7.0.3.
If I login with the administrator@vpshere.local account everything is fine. If I login with an AD account that has been granted full control all update related windows just spin as if I do not have permission to access the lifecycle manager service. My account is granted admin access to everything in center.
I tried resetting the update manager db, that did not resolve the issue. I also tried clearing all local cache in the browser. That actually got me to this point, prior to clearing the cache I was getting an error that I was unable to authenticate to lifecycle manager when I first logged into the webui.
Curious if anyone else is seeing this.
Hello, I am seeing this also. Anyone know how to fix it?

Can you double-check the configuration with this article?
Unable to Log In Using Active Directory Domain Authentication
after updating vcenter to 7.0.3 we are seeing this as well, will check the article below and see if that helps

Not sure if its relevant to your problem or not.
Can say that doing what this article suggests breaks the updates for VCSA 6.5U3q
I am able to login to vcenter with AD credentials, its just lifecycle manager specifically that seems to be having issues with that auth method,
Oh I see. Just wondering if it was the update manager service that had crashed as per the article I referenced.
I was able to login to VCSA no problems it was the update manager tab that was failing to load and in the tasks window it was trying to connect to the vmware servers to download patch definitions and failing. Reversing the edit in the article referenced fixed it for me on VCSA 6.5UQ3
Not sure what to suggest as I don't have the lifecycle manager I think that's 6.7 and above isn't it?
@gcomstar Check this article .. I believe it covers the same issue you are experiencing - https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/85962
