virtual ie8 proxy issue

Captured ie8 without any issue, i was using thindirect and thought the issue was coming from there. but it seems without thindirect the same issues turn up.

Surfing to any internet pages works fine, only see problems when navigating to internal pages, (helpdesk, intranet, ...)

sometimes it helps by changing porxy settings but not always.

Anybody seen thes kind of issues before?

grtz

1. Have you captured the proxy settings along with IE 8 during setup capture?

2. Can you check the  Bypass proxy server for local addresses is enabled or not

You have mentioned "sometimes it helps by changing porxy settings but not always".

Can you check the proxy server by entering the same details to the native IE 8 and try accessing the same intranet sites?

native ie works fine, same settings on virtual ie gives the issues.

now for example on my test machine, i have the proxy on automatic and it works. another user on the same machine with same proxy settings and it does not work...

Can you upgrade to ThinApp 4.7?  4.7 solved the issues I was seeing with IE8.

Is your proxy transparent?  Sorry if you already answered these questions.

Hi all !

I fix it.

steps:

1. Edit HKEY_USERS.txt file.

2. Add the "isolation_writecopy HKEY_USERS\IE_PROXY_BUGFIX" at the beginning.
  isolation_writecopy HKEY_USERS\IE_PROXY_BUGFIX
3.Save HKEY_USERS.txt file.
