I've had success virtualizing a few applications but one is giving me problems.
I installed and captured an application on Windows XP 32 Bit. The application works fine on XP, and works fine on Windows 7 32bit. However, on Windows 7 64 bit, when you open the application, you get a windows installer box that flashes "preparing to install". It does that a few times and then the application opens and works fine. It does this every time you open it. I have tried enabling WOW64 in the package.ini. Same result
If I use Windows 7 64bit to capture the application, I do not experience this issue, but then I cannot run it on Win7 32bit or XP, as expected
Is this common or is there something that I'm missing? Will I need to create packages for both architectures often? The admin guide says 32 bit apps will run on 64Bit OS
Thanks,
Mike
I made a mistake, if I start with a Windows 7 64Bit base and thinapp on that, I still have the same issue.
It seems this app will only work well on 32 Bit OS. hmmmm
The application is called Wavereader. It's a shareware app
Any thoughts?
I am currently out of the office. I have limited email access and will get back to you as soon as possible.

I believe the issue something in this application is 16 bit, which would make sense why I'm having so much trouble on 64 bit OS.
