complete registry control to an exe file

Hi.
Is it possible to give to an exe file complete control of the registry...? I mean the kind of control when I start this exe directly, not virtualized.
Just to this exe, the rest of the files will still have limited control.

Sounds like you would like to have different isolation modes for different processes within one and the same package. That is not possible. It is the virtual environment that has a specific isolation mode.  Everything launched within this environment will share isolation modes.

Some more isolation mode info:

Thank you.

Ok, I understand, it's not possible in the current ThinApp version.

But I hope that it will be in future versions...

In my opinion it's not so uncommon to request this as a new feature...

Best regards, Cosmin

To be honest this is the first time I have heard this request.. Please explain the use case and what application you now have an issue with.. Would love to understand it a little more in-depth.

Ok.

For example when you combine 2 or more different programs in the same virtual environment.

One program is the "master" and is displaying data created/modified/processed by the other program(s) - the "slave(s)".

The "master" should have complete control, the "slave(s)" limited.

Later edit: Just now I captured BSPlayer and video codecs (for fun only)  BSPlayer is the "master" and the video codecs are the "slaves".

I look into HKEY_CURRENT_USER.txt and I noticed that all keys are isolation full (not one is writecopy or merged). What will happen if I will change to merged? It will alow BSPlayer to write on the host's registry (in that key)? I tried this but I didn't see any change on host's registry...
