We're just beginning to test with View 5. I've noticed when I deploy a streaming or full thinapp, the thinapp gets deployed to the VM regardless of the Active Directory (AD) security I've applied when compiling the app.
Is there a way that the app will not deploy to the VM if the customer does not have AD access?
working with Thinapp 4.6 and 4.7
thanks.
If I'm not mistaken If you do it with thinreg and a login script it will not show up unless he user has ad permissions.

yes, thank you.
We're currently using a similar script that verifies AD security before displaying the Thinapp icons on the customer's desktop. From what I've seen the Thinapp feature within View 5 Admin provides only basic deployment methods and relies on a more hands on approach to administration.
With the AD security and login script approach, once the customer has been properly approved for the Thinapp & placed into the AD group, the Thinapp will automatically be deployed.
