Thinapp file association & Active X controls

We have recently rolled out 15 new VmView desktops using Composer and Thinapp and for the most part it has gone very well, but as we expected there have been one or two little niggles that we've had to iron out. We are having issues with file associations and icons with office 2003 and adobe acrobat even though we have used the reg tool. Also, we are having an issue with certain active x controls that are embedded within two of the applications we are using Thinapp with. Long story short one of the program has a button to click that is effectively an active x control that is meant to pass data from one app to another so that it can be loaded into it, this fucntion is not working and it appears Thinapp'd programs for the most part seem to be unable to correctly use active x controls, i assume this is because the relevant program is passing from a local install point of C:\ which of course does not exist, this has become quite an issue as the mechanism of using active x to pass data is a very important one in the software packages we are attempting to use. I also appreciate the fact that this issue is somewhat outside of the usual "It won't install" or "Can't find database" troubles but it's one we could use some advice on. Has anyone had similiar issues and if so are there any tutorials available that would get around this?
