I'm trying to thinapp Rosetta Stone without very much success.
This "application" is really a windows service that listens two TCP ports
Some of you have gotten to ThinApp this application or any similar
TCP Sockets in general are no problem.
What could be an issue is port number assignment. If the ports are defined in the service ports table (Windows-system32-drivers-etc: services-file). If changes are applied to this file (like service "myservicelistenport" on port 1234), this will not be used.
ThinApp lets the OS do all socket handling. This means that services (portnumbers) and IP-assignments (hosts-file) are not honored when defined in the virtualisation layer.
