Thinapp 5.0 Integer updates

With the addition (in Thinapp 5) of the ALT files...Has anyone been able to successfully in place update a Thinapp (that was created with Thinapp 5)?

Typically, I have the following files when creating a Thinapp.  We stream all Thinapps from a Network data share

.exe

.dat << PDC

.msi

With Thinapp 5, an .ALT file has been added to the mix

When I try to complete an in place update by doing the following:

.exe.1

.dat.1

.1.ALT << as instructed by a VMware Support tech

The application still runs the original version

In order to determine which version of the application is run for my testing, I change the sandbox name and Status Bar Display Name.

Any help would be appreciated.

What happens when you delete the .alt file from the Integer upgrade?

The application starts to launch, but only briefly appears as a window outline, then closes.

Ok. I have not tried this before and not sure why the naming convention 1.ALT. Have you tried changing the filename to ALT.1?

What happens if you put all the files local?

i think Ibourque is on the correct path. anytime i have done a sidebyside update with a dat.1 file it had to be a full local install and not streaming.
