ThinApp and View Persona Management failing

Currently involved in deploying View 5 for Win 7 64 Bit. Hit a problem where a few apps fail to launch correctly, analysis shows them writing to the sandbox under %appdata% but failing. What we have found is that if we switch off AppData file redirection under View Paersona Management and just use GPO the app works fine.

It doesn't happen for all apps but we have so fr encountered this on 4.

Thoughts?

1. What version of ThinApp have you used for packaging the apps?

2. Is AppData redirect to a CIFS share (NetApp)?

ThinApp 4.7 and redirected to a standard Windows share.

There is a bug in ThinApp 4.7 (and 4.6.2) on sandbox redirection. Please have a look at this thread:

VMware support told us this was a known issue that engineering are working on, we have a number of other difficulties with Persona Management and have decided to implement LiquidWare labs Profile Unity instead.
