Good Morning,
I've been looking into ThinApp and it seems like a very interesting product. I'm trying to see how it could be used successfully in our infrastructure. I've been reading through all the information I can find, but I still have one nagging question about how ThinApp will work with our road warriors - our external users that may or may not be connected to our internal network. We do have a VPN service set up so that, if needed, remote employees can get onto our internal network.
I was curious what would happen if remote users were not on the VPN. Let's say they're at the local starbucks. They're online, but just checking email and such, and they want to open a word document they just recieved from a client. Do they have to connect to the VPN to open the document? or is there a local cached version of the application so they can open it on the fly?
Thanks for your help!
Yes, you can install virtualized application on computer that are out of internal network.
