ThinApp - Registry permission capture

Hi,

What is the best way to capture application with modified registry permission?

During my capture test, I found registry permission was not being captured.

Using GPO or AD with vbs script may not be a proper option as it won't apply to virtual registry of the user sandbox.

Any idea?

Thanks,

Moses

Can you check whether the permission changes are captured in the registry files HKEY_CURRENT_USER.txt/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.txt/HKEY_USERS.txt located in the project folder please?

Within the virtualized environment is there no privileges, therefore no sense in capture them.. You will have full access to all virtualized elements. If you want to use permissions must you use Merged Isolation Mode and then the systems settings will be honored.

Please have a look at these blog posts since I think it will cover what you are asking about in more depth..

VB-Scripts built in to your package can very well modify the virtual registry..
