Sandbox Persistence?

I've noticed that when opening a thinapp it takes a while ~20 seconds to open the thinapp because the sandbox environment has to open,

but once the sandbox is running other thinapps start much quicker. Is there any

way to keep the sandbox running so thinapps start much faster?

The sandbox needs a packaged application running to stay open. There is no supported method that I know of for keeping the sandbox open even after the last packaged app has exited.

One reason an application may initially start slowly is that any packaged virtual services need to be started. If a virtual service is failing to start correctly, I believe the default timeout is 20 seconds - so this might be what you are seeing.

You might setting "AutoStartServices=0" in your package.ini

http://pubs.vmware.com/thinapp4/help/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm?href=pkg_AutoStartServices.ht...

If this doesn't work for you, try logging log_monitor before launching your app and then kill the app when it is sitting there for 20 seconds waiting - then look at the resulting trace file to find out what it is trying to do
