Hi there,
I was able to virtualize and run Office 2013 if no other Office 2013 applications are physically installed on he machine.
As soon as one aplication is installed, the dreaded "setup/fix" scree shows up and the application fails.
This is the same problem we had with Office 2010, that was fixed with 4.7.2 and the "deleted" registry keys. Now I'm missing the ones for Office 2013.
Does anyone knows the Office 2013 "deleted" registry keys I must add?
Thanks.
The "deleted" registry keys workaround is for Office 2010 only. Probably a better workaround is required for Office 2013 to work.
It is good to hear you can run ThinApp'ed Office 2013 successfully without native copy of Office 2013.
@none95: could you elaborate how you managed to thinapp Office 2013 - I did it exactly the same way as I did with Office 2010, but on Windows 8 I always get the activation error.
What version of Office 2013 did you use? (Pro Plus & KMS or MAK?)
You may try simply adding 'deleted HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\AppID' to the top of the file and see if that permits it to work.
This worked for me. Word 2013 activated like a champ after rebuilding the package with that added to the top of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.txt file.
