As I understand you have a virtualized app, which on running, tries to configure odbc, but fails and says "connection not open", and then gives more error messages. I think we first need to figure out the reason for this first error message. Can you please create some log files using ThinApp Log Monitor utility, and upload them. Follow the instructions below:

1. Launch Log Monitor utility (this is available in the ThinApp installation folder).

2. Then launch your virtualized application. (now Log Monitor will start collecting the logging info in a file, one file will be created for each process that is launched by the app, these files will be located in the folder where your app binaries are located).

3. Once you see the error, you can kill the application.

4. Now you can convert the .trace files (generated by Log Monitor) to .txt files using Log Monitor.

5. You can zip these .txt files and upload.

Thanks.

The question remains unanswered, as the community is lacking a sufficient description of the problem, as well as the requested trace logs.

Please, if you can, provide the solution you discovered (if this is the case) or supply more information, like:

  • The capture and build operating system
  • The name of the application and its author/vendor
  • The deployment operating system(s) and their architecture(s)
  • The deployment method (local, streaming, View, Citrix, etc.)

More information may lead to a solution.
