Attempting to Thinapp email viewer application (Message Viewer Lite) and getting an error
"Unable to open attachment"
The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed.
using thinapp 5.1.x on Win7 64bit clean machine
Deploying to Win7 64 bit
The application launches fine, except when I try to open an attachment that is embedded in the email. The application works fine when installed as a fat client on a VM.
I've already tried the following recommendations
adding winword.exe, acrord32.exe, & excel.exe to the child process environment exceptions
followed the steps in this KB > http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=103912...
this key did not exist when referenced by the above KB
isolation_full HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\*
may (not) be the issue?
Any help would be appreciated.
