Issue with using VMware Thin App

So far I have:

Created a package on the deployement server

Moved the .exe to a directory called DeployMS in the root of C:\ on that server

Created a shortcut from an XP machine to the MSword.exe and it launches Word fine.

So now I have copied ThinReg from the deployement server to the XP Machine

and created a bat file localy on the C:\ of the xp machine that has:

c:\Thinreg.exe /r /a "
<servername>\DeployedMS\MSWord\Microsoft Office Word 2003.exe

But word is still not registering. No shortcut on the start menu, can not open .doc from the file. ect..

Can someone please point me in the right direction.

the " got cut off at the copy and paste

c:\Thinreg.exe /r /a

When I do run it via cmd vis batch file I do get an error

Unable to register MS word.

I am not sure if it just didn't get copied in but there is a " missing at the end of the line in the bat file you put in the post. Is it missing from your script?

Does the account have access to the file location on the server?

It was a permissions issue.

I had it set to read

once i allowed change it works great
