Internet Explorer 8 with linked Reader XI doesn't display png images

Hi,

we've got this problems:

When you use applink with IE8 as main process and Acrobat Reader as Plugin, you cannot see .png images on web sites using IE8. See picts below:

repubblica.jpg

Removing Acrobat reader from plugin folder, the .png images are displayed with no problems.

The bug occours both on Win7 and WinXP using an internet explorer 8 and acrobat reader captured on a full clean vm XPSP3 with ThinApp 4.7.3 (I’ve got the captures). Both packages are created with default options with no customization.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

The problem looks weird. Can you look into the package.ini of Reader ThinApp for .png (maybe filetypes or objects)?

Can you, please, attache Package.ini file?

I spent some time trying to reproduce the issue but i could not. I have tried on Windows 7 where IE 8 is locally installed.

What is your deployment OS?

I've tried on Windows 7 32bits and on windows XPSP3. It occours also on the vm where the applications have been captured.

If you want I can upload the two exe files on an ftp folder.

regards
