We are trying to come up with a system to keep track of Thinapped MSIProductVersions we have deployed, there doesn't seem to be any way to identify what thinapp package is on a specific system, I am not just referring to the application version itself since you can have the same version on two different machines and one may have a needed pluggin whereas the other may not. At a glance or quick right click we want to be able to identify what Product version we have on a machine at any given time and what updates/pluggins etc. have been added to that particular Thinapp. As far as I can see, after an MSI is deployed to a machine there is no access to the package.ini and since the Inventory name must be the same throughout all versions in order to upgrade a package without having to uninstall the current one first, how can one tell? Any suggestions or does anyone have a system in place for this?
We are using ThinApp 4.6.1 on an XP vm with Workstation 7.1.3.

One way could be to add properties to the exe file. See manual for details: http://pubs.vmware.com/thinapp4/help/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm?href=pkg_VersionXXXX.html
Thanks for your help pbjork.
