Help: coreldraw x5 not fully working

Hi

Trying to thinapp this app but it is not working as expected. When trying to open cdr files that is created with an image copied from outlook the Corel failed saying the file is corrupt.  However when trying to capture it with office installed then the app stops responding when opening the same filet as before.

I have downloaded another portable version of Corel and it works and it was created with thin app as well so perhaps someone here can help me package my own version ??

Have you tried the following Package.INI setting in your Corel Draw application:

ChildProcessEnvironmentDefault=External

How about this information from page 90 of the ThinApp 4.7 manual PDF:

Viewing Attachments in Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Outlook creates a default directory to store attachments when you open an attachment for viewing.

The typical location is C:\Documents and Settings\<user_name>\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\OLK<xxxx>. The last xxxx is replaced by a random entry.  You can view attachments when the viewing application runs in the same virtual sandbox as Microsoft Outlook. External applications might not be able to find the file to display because Microsoft Outlook stores the file in the sandbox. You must use the Merged isolation mode for the directory that stores the attachments.

Set up Merged isolation mode to view Microsoft Outlook attachments

1.  Add a value to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER.txt file that sets the name of the attachment directory:

      isolation_full HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Security
        Value=OutlookSecureTempFolder
        REG_SZ~%Profile%\Local Settings\OutlookTempxxxx#2300

     In this example, 11.0 in the key name is for Microsoft Outlook 2003.

noone??

Well, i will try and explain what I have tried these past few days:

I have a clean Windows 7 SP1 machine, Irun a prescan, and the install the Corel Draw x5 (tried fulll installations and also tried to minimize it) and everything installs fine. I open the application and also the CDR files that are problematic works perfectly. THen i run a postscan and use the defaults.

The application works perfectly as long as the CDR files do not have images inserted from Word or Outlook (copy and paste) then it failes and tries to install something (windows installer opens for office)

I have tried installing office on the capture machine and then capture corel but that didn't work.

I have also tried differnt isolation modes but that didn't work either...

anyone have any idea??   Should I try a clena Windows XP machine instead? Could it be a inkompability between Office and the thinapped corel ? My guess is that everything works perfekt when not having office installed

ok, noone have had this problem or haven't thinapped Coreldraw x5....hmm...anyway I have tried running my package ona computer without office. It runs fine and also opens the files correctly!

so my next question might be easier to answer: Is it possible to run a thinapp program completly isolated (in the way that Corel doesn't know what is on my computer at all)

if so, please tell me how?

the reason office is installed is because I haven't been able to thinapp it correctly because of the license issue
