Exclude sandboxing of certain filetypes

Is it possible to exclude sandboxing of modification of certain filetypes? I'm trying to package fully sandboxed Office 2007 and Visual Studio 2008, but I want documents to be directly editable.

I have a portable hard drive that i'll be using visual studio from. The drive letter will change from computer to computer. I'd like to have the application sandboxed everywhere except the drive itself. How can I do this?

Presumably your portable hard drive shows up as "Removable Drive" in Windows? In that case you can use a default of "WriteCopy" isolation mode and set SandboxRemovableDisk to 0.

No I named it "Portable Hard Drive". It shows up with other hard drives in XP/7, but shows a "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the systray.

EDIT: After testing, I can directly edit files on my flash drive, but not my portable HD.

Currently it is not possible to exclude files from the sandbox which only exist within the Virtual Bubble and are opened with WRITE access.

What GGeldorp suggested is probably the closest you can get - assuming you add in some scripting as well.

Unfortunately it appears that only flash drives show up as removable devices.

The only workaround is to create the folders %Drive_D% to %Drive_Z% with Merged isolation.
