Current user as author of Visio/Projects 2010

Anyone come up with a good way to personalize a ThinApp copy of Visio/Projects to the current logged in user?  Variables do not work for registry settings so that is out the window.

Are you talking about changing the user name and initials in the options to a different one after it was thinned? I recently completed this project and I have no problem changing it, and retaining the change after re-launching the thinapp. (This change is retained withing the sandbox.). I followed the instructions here - http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=102228... and here http://thinappguru.blogspot.com/#!/2012/03/notes-on-packaging-office-project-and.html, plus I added IE 8 into the package which solved some other problems. Hope this helps.

How is it picking up the user?  Mine is defaulting to the user who created the ThinApp.

Note:  I am using Persona Management in this environment.

Some users are reporting that Visio is holding current user as author but Projects does not.  Both packaged same way except Visio was activated before post scan.
