Can a thinapp execute through server instead workstation?

We have laptops and typically a thinapp is executed locally on those laptops.   We have remote users with vpn and they want to open MS access files on network drives.  Since the files are so large, running thinapp MSAccess will be slow because the DB files are downloaded to the laptop over the slow link..  So in the case of MS Access, if the thinapp instance ran through VMWare server host the MS Access application should be fast because the DB file is pulled on the local network.

Is this possible?  what would I need to do to do this?

Thank-you

Sounds like you need a publishing / presenting technology.. VMware offers View as a solution today. In the future will we hopefully be able to offer more products and solutions around this. ThinApp will not really help you out in this case.

We do something similar to what you are asking about, but we include Windows 2008 remote app with Thinapp packages. We created the thinapp and deployed it on a w2k8 terminal server and set it up as a remoteapp. Now on the remote/vpn clients we simply deploy a small .rdp file which launches the terminal session making it appear to the end user as a native application, but in reality it is a terminal server running the thinapp.

I propose this question be marked as answered.  Some sort of "presentation" technology is required to achieve the objective posed by the original question.  ThinApp alone does not possess such capabilities.
