Adobe Digital Editions

Has anyone thinapped this program, I have Thinapped the program but it continually asks on every program start (even in the same session) to run the Setup Assistant and Authorize the computer, I did do this in the the ThinApp, but didnt work. It also once re-registering comes up with Error Deleting file backup_manifest.xml

Thanks

Hi Buzlightyear,

Does the application work fine on the machine where you captured it? If it does then at least we would have a working case to compare with the non working case.

What I understand from your statement is that, on every app launch you get the Setup Assistant and not just the first app launch. If it would have been just the first app launch, then we could have tried to use sbmerge to merge the SandBox after the first launch with the package and rebuild the package.

Thanks.

Sorry I should have explained better, the program installed fine and works on the machine that is used for "Thinapping" but as soon the Thinapped application is used on the linked clones it comes up with the setup assistant. Im guessing it's because Adobe digital editions puts some kind of signature onto the hard drive but as the hard drive gets deleted as soon as the user logs off this I guess goes with it.

If this is indeed the case, then one solution can be, to figure out the location on the disk where the signature is written, make the isolation mode of that location as full or writecopy(so that this disk write goes to the SandBox), and locate the Sanbox at asome network share, so that the signature is always available.

Also, please upload the Log Monitor trace file for the application, so that I can take a look to find what the app is trying to do.

Thanks.
