Hi All,
I have attempted to ThinApp Adobe Acrobat Pro X, but when I select "Create PDF" and try to open a Word file I get a message saying "Unable to find Adobe PDF resource files. Do you want to run the Installer in repair mode"
Also...when I try to "Attach to Email.." I get a message saying "Either the default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client.
I took a shot at redoing it, but with Office 2010 installed. It still doesn't work...plus now I get a licensing error message.
Does anyone know how to ThinApp this?
I appreciate any help you can provide.
Thanks!
Randy
The reason you are not able to create pdf from a Word file is because Acrobat needs its Adobe PDF printer to convert it from a word document to PDF. There are several free PDF printers out there. I have used Cute PDF and it seems to work fine. All you need to do is rename the PDF printer to Adobe PDF. As far as the Attach to email problem, I have yet to get it to work. I have read several success stories from people using this fix: http://blogs.vmware.com/thinapp/2011/12/enabling-send-as-email-attachment-in-thinapp-packages-when-o...
But I have never had any luck.
The attach email in Adobe fix does work. Be sure to open Outlook and configure an email account. It does not matter what account you use as the information will not be used when captured when using the feature in a View desktop.
