mouse pointer does not work in VMRC or WebClient Console with Fedora 11

I have and ESXi 7.0 U3 system on which I have three VM guests (one Windows XP, one Fedora 11 and one Centos 9 Stream).

There is no vCenter Server involved, so the access to the VM host is through ESXi webpage itself.

With the Windows XP and Centos 9 VM guests, I have no issues - the mouse works correctly, as it does with my PC and other applications.

However with the Fedora 11, I can see the console on the webpage, but when I open the console with either a)  VMRC or b) my web browser, I am unable to use the mouse buttons (both left, right and middle) to select links or manipulate windows on the console.

I tried with another mouse just in case that was the cause but I get the same result with the new mouse.

BTW, I do not have VMtools installed for the Fedora 11 VM guest.

Using this console for the Fedora 11 VM guest has worked in the past, so something has changed but I'm not sure exactly what has changed.

Is the mouse capability (or keyboard capability for that matter) configurable in any way?

Thoughts?

As your post needs moving to the area for ESXi, I have reported it to the volunteer moderators.
