When I start my Redhat 5 virtual machine it will work just fine if I assign 1G of RAM or 2G of RAM to the virtual machine. We need to be able to use 4G of RAM. When I do this it gives me when booting saying "kernel panic". The virtual machine hangs on this error message and never boots. I have another computer with VMWare that has a clone of this same redhat 5 machine. It launches just fine with 4G of RAM.
Kernel panic error appears when launching Redhat5 32bit guest with 4GB of RAM with Redhat 6 64bit host
Kernel panic error does NOT appear when launching Redhat5 32bit guest with 4GB of RAM with Windows 7 64bit host
Anyone know what would cause this error?
